Update to iBooks on iOS and Mac and iBooks Author.

Updates for iBooks on iOS and Mac
Readers can now choose a new reading mode in iBooks called Gray. The new mode offers white text on a gray background and makes reading on an iOS device or Mac easier on the eyes.

Additionally, with the latest version of iBooks, readers can multitask. For example, you can read a book and browse the web with Safari, side-by-side.

With iBooks for iOS, you can use Spotlight to search for books by title, author name, or series name. This will show you books you already have in your library and books available on the iBooks Store. If you already started reading the book, we will also show you how much of the book you’ve already read.

To get the new version of iBooks for iOS, update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iOS 9. To get the new iBooks for Mac, install OS X v10.11.

Updates for iBooks Author
With the latest version of iBooks Author, we have improved the import function for Pages and Microsoft Word documents. For best results, you should use section breaks between chapters when you write your book in Pages or Microsoft Word.

If you’re using one of the EPUB templates, you can now also add Pop-Over widgets with text or images to your book.

The new version of iBooks Author is available on the Mac App Store.
