Updates to the iTunes Package Film Specification and iTunes Video and Audio Asset Guide.

October 18, 2017

The iTunes Package Film Specification and the iTunes Video and Audio Asset Guide contain the following updates:

HDR Video
You can now deliver HDR (high dynamic range) video in either Dolby Vision or HDR10 format. See HDR Delivery in the Package Film Specification and Film HDR Source Profile in the Video and Audio Asset Guide for more information.

4K Video
You can now deliver 4K video. See the requirements listed in 4K Source Profile in the Video and Audio Asset Guide for more information.

Source Audio
Previously delivered video sources can now be used as audio files. This is useful if you are delivering a new video source with embedded audio, but prefer to use the embedded audio from a previously delivered video source. To reuse the previously delivered video source as an audio file, two new attributes have been added: ignore_audio and reused_old_source.
