How do I replace audio I uploaded for my playlist?

In iTunes Connect:

  1. Go to My Music and search for the product in question. 
  2. Click on the magnifying glass in the View Album Details column.
  3. Click Replace Audio next to the track you need to update.
  4. Attach a new audio file to the ticket and click Submit. Ensure that the new audio file meets the audio file requirements stated on iTunes Connect.
  5. After submission, you’ll receive a ticket number for reference.

You can also replace audio in iTunes Producer. Be sure to import the new audio into the album package and do not change any other attributes on the album.

How do I update my cover art?

Open a cover art ticket in iTunes Connect to update your cover art for music and music videos. Quality Assurance will review your updates to ensure the image meets the requirements.

To create a cover art ticket, go to My Music:

  1. Search for the album or music video that you wish to amend.
  2. Click the magnifying glass to view the details of the album.
  3. Click Replace Cover Art.
  4. Attach new cover art to the ticket and click Save. Only one cover art ticket can be open per music video or album.

Once your changes are confirmed, you’ll receive a ticket number for reference.

Can I update metadata after delivery?

You can request updates to most metadata fields at any time after delivery in iTunes Connect. Changes to playlists, track titles, artists, and other display information can be requested, as well as updates to rights and pricing. 

Requests made using iTunes Connect create provider-initiated tickets, which Apple reviews and either approves or denies. 

To create a provider-initiated ticket for display metadata in iTunes Connect, go to My Music on iTunes Connect: 

  1. Search for the content you would like to edit in My Music.
  2. Click on the magnifying glass and Edit Metadata to make the desired changes.
  3. Click Save to open a ticket.

You can view your Tickets in iTunes Connect to track their status. 

Not all metadata can be updated. Product identifiers such as UPCs, ISRCs, and track order can not be updated after delivery. Some metadata fields, such as audio language can not be updated if Apple has since edited this metadata. To understand more about when fields can and can not be updated, refer to the iTunes Package Music Specification.

Metadata updates can also be requested using iTunes Producer and Transporter by sending refreshed metadata for a package.
