Apple Music for Artists on iOS
You may access your label data through the latest version of the Apple Music for Artists app, which is available on the App Store. Get a snapshot of your artists’ performance on the go.
Listening Now
Use the Listening Now widget to see how many listeners are streaming your music, in real time. Regularly updating every five seconds, this metric highlights how many users have initiated playback on your music. Tap the widget to see a trend graph view of your real-time listeners in the last 48 hours.
System requirements
The Apple Music for Artists iOS app can be used from an iPhone running iOS 16 or later and the Artists app must be version 3.5 or later. To access all the latest features of the Artists app, be sure you’re running the latest version. Apple Music for Artists on iOS is currently only available for iPhone.
Top playlist plays
Tap on a playlist your artist’s music has been featured in to see total plays for your artist’s songs in the playlist, plays by song, and a song’s playlist position.
Top songs
Song-level details are viewed by tapping on one of your artist’s most-played songs. You can view details such as Plays, Average Daily Listeners, Shazam Count, Song Purchases, Insights, Plays by country or region, or city, and plays from Playlists.
Top Shazam tags
Shazam tags are recorded anytime your artist’s song is recognized by the Shazam app or one of the partner apps that use Shazam technology. Tap on one of your songs with the most Shazam tags to see data about that song’s performance in Apple Music and the iTunes Store.
Top Radio Spins
Apple Music for Artists now tracks radio plays across over 40,000 radio stations around the world. This data feature is fully integrated throughout the Artists app, highlighted both on your artist’s overview page and within the song detail page. Select a song to open up your song detail page and view radio spins broken out by top countries/regions and cities.
View popular countries or regions for your artist
Tap a popular country or region to see how your artist’s music is performing in that region. You can view the cities where your artist’s music is most played, country- or region-specific Insights, Top Songs, and Top Cities.
By default, the Apple Music for Artists iOS app will show data from the last four weeks. You can update the date range for your artist’s data by tapping the filter in the upper-right corner.
