Music Analytics API: New Release Dates and Genres features

We are excited to announce Release Dates and Genres, new features for the Music Analytics API, are now live for the Audience Engagement and Audience Overlap endpoints. Now you can analyze your catalog by release window or genre—allowing you to focus queries and get deeper insights on just the albums or songs that were released in a specific time range or belong to a particular genre. Some highlights of these new features include:

• Filter by release window. Query content performance based on album and song release dates, allowing you to analyze how recent releases compare to back catalog, track new music performance, or compare releases across different time periods.
• Analyze by genre and sub-genre. Break down your catalog performance by song and album genre and sub-genre classifications, giving you the ability to understand which musical categories resonate most with listeners and identify opportunities within specific genres.
  
• Flexible querying options. Use the release date and genre filters independently or in combination with existing Music Analytics API filters like storefront, subscription type, and demographics to build sophisticated queries that answer your most important business questions.
