Music Analytics API: Top N and Custom Sort Order
We are excited to announce two new capabilities for the Music Analytics API: the ability to query your top-performing content and sort results by plays and listeners. These enhancements give you faster, more targeted insights from your catalog with even greater flexibility within the API. Some highlights of these new capabilities include:
- Custom sort order: Sort your analytics results by play count or unique listeners in ascending or descending order. This makes it straightforward to surface your highest-performing content or identify catalog areas with room for growth.
-
Top N querying: Retrieve a ranked list of your best-performing songs, albums, or artists by specifying a limit in your request. Whether you want to see your top 10 tracks by play count or your top 5 albums by unique listeners, the API now returns exactly the results you need without additional client-side filtering.
-
Flexible combinations: Use top N and sort by parameters alongside existing filters such as date range, storefront, and device type to build highly targeted queries, giving your team precise control over the data returned.
Visit the Music Analytics API documentation to learn more about these new capabilities and how to integrate them into your workflows.
