Introducing the all-new Music Analytics API

The Music Analytics API is a new way to analyze Apple Music data that is also designed and built with privacy in mind. Today, it’s available to begin onboarding, exploring, and integrating into your everyday processes.

Available to labels with more than 250,000 plays per month, the Music Analytics API is a great way to learn about fans of your music without trading in their privacy. With more than five years of data available, the Music Analytics API enables you to analyze listening data using flexible date ranges and filters—without tracking or identifying individual users. Data is updated in the API multiple times each day, and you can quickly access it without downloading large files or waiting for lengthy processing times.

Learn how to create custom cohorts of listeners, identify top sources for new music discovery, and more in the Music Analytics API Guide.

The Music Analytics API is replacing the following reports on April 1, 2021:

  • Detailed Streams Report
  • Apple Music Subscription Reference Report

To avoid disruption, migrate to the Music Analytics API by April 1, 2021.
