Access Podcast Analytics, Best practices, and Secure RSS feed

Access Podcast Analytics
Podcast Analytics, which launched in beta December 14, is a data visualization tool that gives you insight into how users are listening to your shows and episodes on Apple Podcasts.
You can sign in to Podcasts Analytics Beta to understand listener engagement and distribution, to compare the performance of your episodes and shows over time, and more. For more information, see Podcasts Analytics Help and watch the Podcast Analytics Basics video overview.
Note that Podcast Analytics begins gathering data as soon as users play content in the Podcasts app (iOS 11 or later) or on iTunes (12.7 or later on either macOS and Windows). The data is aggregated and no personally identifiable information for any customer is shown. Check Developer Support for the latest information on iOS 11 adoption.
Best Practices for Discoverability and User Experience
Podcast providers can improve the discoverability and user experience of their shows in Apple Podcasts by implementing the following best practices:
- Deliver clear, concise titles.
- Number and recommend episodes (and even “pin” a trailer to the top of the feed).
- Allow new subscribers to receive the full current season in their Library.
- Allow users to pick up listening where they left off.
You can view an example of a well-formed RSS feed that implements our best practices here.

Switch to a Secure RSS feed
We strongly encourage you to use a secure podcast feed with an SSL certificate. In the future, a secure feed will be required in order to access Podcast Analytics and submit podcasts in Podcasts Connect. Most major hosting services offer secure RSS feeds, and can help you migrate your feed if the one you're currently using does not have an SSL certificate. See our Apple Podcast Hosting Partners for more info.
