Update assets

When you need to update assets, including video, audio, subtitles, and so on, for existing content due to encoding or other issues, simply redeliver a new asset with the same locale, referencing the same vendor ID in the XML. You do not need to remove the asset using the remove="true" attribute. See Film Asset-Only Updates and TV Asset-Only Delivery/Updates for details. In Transporter, use lookup metadata mode to retrieve the current metadata against the content you are updating and include the new checksum for the assets you are updating in the XML.

Only use the remove="true" attribute when you are changing locales, removing alternate audio, and removing QC notes. See asset removal example to change locale and how to remove QC notes for TV.
