Updates to iTunes Package TV Spec and Parallax Exporter.

April 4, 2018

The iTunes Package TV Specification contains the following updates:

Production Still Image
You can now specify a frame to use for the production still image that will be displayed on the product page for an episode. Using the new tag <production_still_image_time> on the full asset, you can indicate the time to use to cut the image from the full asset. The image time must be within the full source with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

You can also deliver a separate production still image, but Apple prefers that you send the production still image cut from the full asset. If you deliver separately, the image dimensions must be 1920 x 1080 with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Source Audio
Previously delivered video sources can now be used as audio files. This is useful if you are delivering a new video source with embedded audio, but prefer to use the embedded audio from a previously delivered video source. To reuse the previously delivered video source as an audio file, two new attributes have been added: ignore_audio and reused_old_source.

Parallax Exporter Update
The Parallax Exporter plug-in for Photoshop now includes support for Photoshop CC 2018 and exporting layered images using the Display P3 color space for Apple TV 4K. For details on how to export images using the Display P3 color space, see the documentation included with the updated plug-in.
