Agreements, Tax, and Banking

Set up banking information

iTunes Connect users with the Admin, Finance, or Legal role can add or edit bank account information. Check your role in Users and Access. To receive payments from Apple, accurate electronic banking information is required. Although you may update your banking information at any time, payment processing for the next scheduled payment date generally occurs throughout the first three weeks of Apple’s fiscal month. Banking updates that occur after the monthly payment processing starts will be applied to future payments during the following month’s payment cycle. Both banking information and tax forms must be submitted to receive your paid agreement.

Add a new bank account

  1. In iTunes Connect, click Agreements, Tax, and Banking.
  2. Click Set Up Banking. This is only displayed when setting up a new agreement.
  3. Next to Bank Accounts, click the plus sign (+) to add a bank account. If you need to update your banking information and it has been more than 30 minutes since you signed in to iTunes Connect, you will be prompted to verify your identity again via two-factor authentication.
  4. Fill in the required fields:
    • Name. Enter the name of your bank account.
    • Bank Country or Region. Select the country or region where your bank is based.
    • Bank Account Currency. Choose the primary currency of the bank account.
    • ABA Routing Number. Enter your bank’s routing number or look up your bank by clicking the link. You can search by your bank name, city, or postal code. Not all branch locations are available in iTunes Connect. Select a branch using your bank code for your account if you don’t see your branch location listed.
    • IBAN. Enter your International Bank Account Number (IBAN) if applicable. An IBAN is used for payments to bank accounts in Europe and certain other countries.
    • Account Number. Enter the bank account for the legal entity or individual responsible for the agreement.
    • Account Holder Name. Enter the name on your bank account held at your financial institution. The name should be entered exactly as it appears on your bank account or your payment may be rejected.
    • Account Holder Type. Choose whether the account belongs to an Individual or a Corporation.
    • Account Type. Choose whether your bank account is a Checking or Savings.
    • Account Holder Address. Enter the bank account holder’s address.
  5. Select the box to confirm you certify the information provided is correct.
  6. Click Save.
  7. If you have more than one user on your account, you are required to have secondary approval to add a new bank account. All Legal users on your account will receive an email requesting they approve this change. A Legal user can approve the change by completing the following steps:
    1. In the Agreements tab, find the agreement with the associated change and click View Changes.
    2. If there is more than one action required for the agreement, click the ellipsis in the Action column.
    3. Click Approve Bank Changes.
    4. In the dialog, review the changes, then click Approve. Click Reject if you do not want to add this bank account.

The Banking tab of Agreements, Tax, and Banking shows your active and former bank account information. If your banking information is still processing after 24 hours, verify whether you’re required to complete additional tax forms.

Certain countries or regions may require you to provide additional documentation to receive payments. Apple will reach out to you directly if additional documentation is needed. To verify the legitimacy of a request from an Apple banking partner, contact us.

    Edit a bank account

Bank information can be edited at any time unless we’re still processing previous changes you made. You can edit your current account, replace it with a new account, or replace it with an account you’ve used previously. Allow 24 hours for changes to be processed. Banking updates made while payments are being processed will be applied to your future payments, during the next month’s payment cycle.

Note: The information in the Bank Country or Region, ABA Routing Number, and Bank Account Number fields can’t be edited. If you need to change any of those fields, you’ll need to add a new bank account.

    1. In iTunes Connect, click Agreements, Tax, and Banking.
    2. Click Banking.
    3. Under Bank Accounts, click Edit. If you need to update your banking information and it has been more than 30 minutes since you signed in to iTunes Connect, you will be prompted to verify your identity again via two-factor authentication.
    4. Select the option that suits your needs.
    5. Follow the prompts to complete your changes.
    6. If you have more than one user on your account, you are required to have secondary approval to replace a bank account or an IBAN.

Change to another existing bank account

      2. Click Banking.
      3. Under Bank Accounts, click Edit. If you need to update your banking information and it has been more than 30 minutes since you signed in to iTunes Connect, you will be prompted to verify your identity again via two-factor authentication.
      4. Select Replace with Existing Account.
      5. Choose from the available bank accounts and click Submit.

      1. In iTunes Connect, click Agreements, Tax, and Banking.
      2. In the Agreements tab, find the Agreement with the banking information you wish to modify.
      3. If you want to use an existing bank account that is not already in use for that Agreement:
        1. Click the plus sign (+) next to Bank Accounts section and select Choose Existing Account.
        2. Select from the list of previously entered bank accounts and click Use. If you need to update your banking information and it has been more than 30 minutes since you signed in to iTunes Connect, you will be prompted to verify your identity again via two-factor authentication.

      4. If you want to add a new royalty currency to a bank account that is already in use on the same Agreement:
        1. Click on Edit next to that bank account. If you need to update your banking information and it has been more than 30 minutes since you signed in to iTunes Connect, you will be prompted to verify your identity again via two-factor authentication.
        2. Select Edit Current Account.
        3. On Edit Bank Account, go to Royalties and select the additional royalty currency or currencies to be paid using this bank account. Only the royalty currencies not already assigned to a bank account will appear for selection in the menu.
